Ceremony officiated by Professor Allen Renear, Associate Dean for Research at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Renear has known us for many years not only as professor and advisor, but also as a respected colleague and friend. He was there at the beginning, when we attended our first conference together— the 2003 Extreme Markup Conference in Montreal— and we are honored that he is part of this milestone in our lives.

Champagne toast on the Riverwalk overlooking the Chicago River and downtown Chicago.

Lunch reception in the Mayfield Room.

Meet up for dinner and drinks for those who are so inclined.

We have reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Sheraton Hotel for guests wishing to stay overnight. The rate is $129/night. Reservations must be made on or before 22 July 2009 in order to guarantee the discounted rate. A link for booking rooms will be provided shortly.
Attire
We request guests dress in semi-formal attire. Gentlemen should be in suits appropriate for the season. Weather permitting, we will be having sparkling wine outside on the Riverwalk and Chicago can be hot and humid in late summer. Please dress accordingly.
